Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect
Business listings. When a business signs up, we collect the business name, legal business name, license or permit number and issuer, service category, description, phone number, address, hours, and any photo uploaded. Listings are public by design — that's the point of a directory.
Accounts. Your name, email address, and a password (stored securely, never in plain text).
Phone verification. Your business phone number is used to send a one-time verification code by text message.
Reviews. Review text, star ratings, and the name you submit with them are displayed publicly.
Callback requests. If you ask a business to call you back, we share your name, phone number, and message with that business so they can reach you.
Location. If you allow it, your browser shares your approximate location so we can show nearby businesses first. This is used for the search and never stored.
Technical data. Standard server logs and a session cookie that keeps you signed in.
Anonymous visit counts. We count how many times a business card is viewed — without identifying who viewed it — so businesses can see interest in their listing. Your own visits to your own card don't count.
2. How we use it
To operate the directory: display listings, verify businesses, process design purchases, prevent abuse, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal information.
3. What we share
Public listing information is visible to everyone — that is the service. We share data with service providers only as needed to run the site (for example, text-message delivery for verification codes and payment processing for design purchases). We disclose information if required by law.
4. Your choices
You can edit or delete your business listing at any time from your dashboard. Deleting your listing removes it from public view. Contact us if you want your account data removed entirely.
5. Children
Cardvue is for businesses and adult customers. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
6. Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date above and note the change here.
7. Contact
